From 13th November for eight weeks only, Artasia the prestigious interiors and lifestyle boutique reopens in Colchester at Gallery Schomberg, 12 St Johns Street and will be filled with outstandingly different creative gifts that owner and style hunter Jesicca Schomberg has sourced and collected from her recent trips to Indonesia, India and destinations throughout Southeast Asia.
Jessica is an entrepreneur and designer who has spent 20 years developing her unique style designs which are created by craftspeople, families and tribes whom she has got to know personally over her years of traveling overseas.
If you’re looking for an original gift Artasia is an Aladdin’s cave of treasures – including fabulous fashion accessories, exquisite decorative items from Bali and Southeast Asia, unique hand crafted jewellery, silk scarves, cushion covers, metal objets d’art, plates plus a wealth of unusual items. Each piece has been personally handpicked or designed by Jessica and all pieces are exclusive to Artasia.
The shop opening at St Johns Street will be special for Jessica for a very personal reason – she will be the third generation to open the premises as a trading place.
“I love this shop. As a child I used to sit here and watch my grandparents who were tailors working in this place, then my mother, artist and ceramicist Pam Schomberg ran a successful Gallery here. And now me! So it is wonderful to be here filling the place with these beautiful crafted hand made items for people in Colchester to enjoy.”
