During this course, we will be looking at the origin of birds and how they developed from reptiles.

We’ll also look at a bird’s topography and how that knowledge can be an aid in identification. Bird photography can be an aid to identification, and we shall explore the various means of taking photographs.
We shall also explore some difficult to separate species and how to avoid pitfalls in identification.

We will also cover bird migration in some detail.

Visiting local sites throughout the course will enable us to put new identification skills into practice.
