Nana Funk isn’t just a character; she’s a revolution in bedazzled granny panties. By the final bow\, she’s got the whole crowd cheering for saggy skin\, hot flashes\, and the freedom that comes with giving zero f*cks. If aging is a rockstar’s journey\, Nana Funk is leading the tour—and we should all buy tickets.” Binge Fringe \nThe time has come for Nana to get intimate. She’s sick of the stadium life and is now touring to smaller scale venues so she can get up close and personal with her army of fans. She’s got a bee in her bonnet and wants you to get on it. This is no teatime with your granny\, this is ‘An Evening With Nana Funk’.  \nThe audience are taken on a hilarious and emotional rollercoaster as Nana challenges ageism and how aged/aging people are portrayed in society. From delicate ballads to 90’s dance and all the way through to full on ROCK\, Nana gives her not so subtle opinions on what it means to be “age appropriate”. \nThe Colchester Fringe was established in 2019 by Cameron Abbott-Betts and Steve Goatman.  \nEvery Autumn\, since 2021\, they take over a variety of venues within the city centre. Including\, theatres\, shops\, pubs and nightclubs and fill them all with extraordinary artists from all corners of the globe.  \nThey believe that the Fringe is for everyone. Therefore\, are committed to keeping ticket prices low and promoting under-represented voices\, including LGBTQ+\, global majority and disabled people within their programme and festival team. \nThey are proudly a non-profit festival and any money made will be put towards supporting artists and developing the Fringe for future years.
