SUMMARY:Family Air Dry Clay Winter Decorations
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun\, hands-on family workshop where children can make their own decorations from air-dry clay. \nChoose from a variety of festive shapes and ideas\, then add your own colours\, patterns and details to make each decoration unique. \nWhether you’re decorating your home or creating a handmade gift for someone special\, this is a relaxed session for families to get creative together. \nAdults are welcome to make their own decorations too – when booking\, please include a ticket for yourself along with any children taking part. \nWhat to expect \nStart by exploring air-dry clay and learning how to shape it into your own festive decorations. You’ll be guided through the process\, with a selection of shapes and ideas to inspire you. \nOnce your decorations are formed\, have fun adding your own patterns\, colours and details to make them personal. \nYou’ll leave with your handmade decorations ready to take home on the same day. \nThis is a relaxed\, family-friendly session designed for children and their accompanying adults to enjoy making together. \nGood to know \nAll materials are provided and no previous experience is needed. \nChildren must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults who would like to make their own decorations are very welcome to join in\, but will need to purchase their own ticket. \nFood and drink is also available for purchase throughout the session from our cafés. \nThis workshop is suitable for all ages\, with children aged 4+ welcome. \n \nAbout your tutor \nCroucherli is the work of ceramic artist Lizzie Croucher (she/her). Lizzie produces hand thrown pottery\, specifically one-off and small batch items\, with their own little personalities. \nHer ceramics are functional\, but also designed to bring smiles to faces. \nLizzie lives in Colchester with her partner & two dogs\, having been previously based in Kent\, London & Suffolk. \nLizzie also leads pottery workshops in and around Colchester\, as well as private potters’ wheel lessons from her home studio.
