SUMMARY:Gifted and Talented
DESCRIPTION:Bea was a gifted child. Her reading age was three years ahead\, her poem published in the local newspaper. A future she was sure was already secured. Now she’s 25\, unemployed and lying awake at 2AM\, wondering what went wrong. \nAs Bea struggles to keep up with a world that demands constant productivity\, she starts to wonder whether she’ll ever find her place in it. From job applications to sleepless nights\, Bea finds herself caught between who she was told she would become and who she actually is. \nFunny\, vulnerable and painfully honest\, Gifted and Talented asks what happens when you grow up believing you can achieve anything\, only to discover that adulthood isn’t quite what you were promised. \nGifted and Talented is a darkly funny one woman play exploring ADHD\, modern adulthood and the fear of falling behind. \nColchester Fringe Festival.
