SUMMARY:Jehovah’s Witness for the Prosecution
DESCRIPTION:What happens when you grow up believing the world will end\, realise you’re queer\, leave the Jehovah’s Witnesses and end up working in A&E? \nChris Ford’s hilarious and deeply personal work-in-progress stand-up show takes audiences on a wild journey through faith\, family\, sexuality\, rebellion and ultimately finding his own way in the world. \nBlending sharp storytelling\, dark humour and self-deprecation\, Chris explores the bizarre\, brilliant and sometimes outrageous experiences that have shaped his life. From religious guilt and teenage marriage to coming out\, leaving a high-control religion and navigating the chaos of NHS life\, nothing is off limits. \nA King Gong Comedy Store Finalist and Max Turner Prize Finalist\, Chris has quickly established himself as an exciting new voice on the UK comedy circuit. Drawing on his experiences as both a former Jehovah’s Witness and an A&E nurse\, he delivers comedy that is equal parts outrageous\, heartfelt and painfully funny. Audiences can expect a show packed with sharp observations\, unexpected twists and laugh-out-loud moments\, alongside an honest and uplifting story about finding yourself when the life you were told to live no longer fits. \nThis is your chance to see brand-new material as it develops\, laugh along with the highs and lows\, and be part of shaping what promises to be a funny\, heartfelt and unforgettable show.
