Sunday Family Forest School

Come and join us in the Chestnut Coppice at Highwoods Country Park, Colchester for Sunday Forest School. Sessions run from 1.30 to 3.30 and are aimed at children of preschool and primary age. Following the forest school ethos sessions are totally child led. Children are free to explore the beautiful woodland and all the treasures it holds as well as choose from activities such as hammocks, swings, ropes, slackline, den building, fire lighting, tools, mud kitchen, bug hunting, nature spotting, natural crafts, foraging, wild cooking and lots more! A weekly snack from the fire will be on offer as well as hot drinks, just bring a travel mug.

Please note that although a qualified Level Three Forest School Leader and outdoor first aider will always be present and on hand with all activities carefully planned and risk assessed, parents/carers are responsible for their own children at all times. Also please note that unfortunately we are unable to have dogs present at forest school sessions.
