DESCRIPTION:House DJs Reunite for Charity Weekend at the King’s Arms\, Frating \nMusic lovers are invited to step back in time as three of the original legendary DJs from the iconic Tartan House reunite for a very special charity weekend\, raising funds for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance. \nTaking place over the weekend of Saturday 12th September and Sunday 13th September at the King’s Arms\, Frating\, the event promises a fantastic mix of nostalgia\, live entertainment and community spirit\, all in support of an incredible local charity. \nSaturday evening will see three of the original Tartan House DJs return to the decks for a rare reunion. Many will remember the Tartan House\, which once stood opposite the King’s Arms in Frating and became one of the area’s most popular venues throughout the 1970s and 1980s. \nTaking to the decks are legendary DJs: \n* Maurice Hawkins\, affectionately known as “Mr Toast”* Andy Starr\, well known as the owner of Rollerworld in Colchester* Jimmi Dixon\, another legendary local DJ who helped create the unforgettable atmosphere of the Tartan House. \nThis unique reunion offers a chance for former regulars to relive the music\, memories and magic of one of Essex’s most-loved nightlife venues. The pub will be open from lunchtime\, with the music running from 6.00pm until 11.00pm. Tickets for Saturday evening are £10\, with the event raising funds for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance while helping to cover the costs of staging this special charity weekend. \nThe celebrations continue on Sunday 13th September\, from 12.00pm until 8.00pm\, with free entry for everyone. From 12.00pm until 1.30pm\, DJ Dave Lawrence will be playing some of the greatest 80s classics\, before DJ Wheels of Steel takes over from 1.30pm with a fantastic selection of club classics to get everyone in the party mood. \nThe afternoon will then feature an outstanding Elvis Presley tribute artist\, as seen on TV\, alongside a spectacular ABBA tribute show\, recently performed at Colchester FC Stadium\, promising an afternoon and evening packed with fantastic live entertainment for all ages. \nThe organisers hope the weekend will not only raise valuable funds for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance but also bring the local community together to celebrate an important part of Frating’s history while enjoying a memorable weekend of music and entertainment. \nWhether you danced the nights away at the Tartan House back in the day or are discovering its legendary reputation for the first time\, everyone is warmly invited to come along\, enjoy the music\, support a great cause and make some new memories at the King’s Arms\, Frating. \nTickets available online all tickets will be exchanged for wristbands at the gate  \nhttps://www.ticketor.com/tartanreunion/ \nWristbands are available at the pub\,  \n❤️ Supporting Charity \nAll wristband proceeds\, after event setup costs have been covered\, will go to the charity Essex and Herts air ambulance  \n🎟️ Grand Charity Raffle \nThe Tartan House Reunion will be held in a specially designed outdoor venue featuring three large marquees\, creating the perfect setting for a memorable weekend of music\, memories\, and celebration. \nA professional stage\, sound system\, spectacular lighting\, will be erected to recreate the atmosphere that made these nights so special. \nFor the comfort and safety of all guests\, professional security staff will be on duty throughout the event\, with controlled entry at the gate. \nAnyone attending and requires Parking we have now secured new parking at the old smiths site\,J.A Brooke’s which is a lot closer\, will be sign postedon the weekend just past the pub on the left.
