DESCRIPTION:Award-winning Dyad Productions return to the Elizabethan era with That Knave\, Raleigh\, created in collaboration with The Old Town Hall\, Hemel Hempstead. \nThe production follows the extraordinary life of Sir Walter Raleigh\, exploring the explorer\, sailor\, writer\, poet\, soldier and adventurer through his dramatic rise and fall during the reigns of Elizabeth I and James I. \nDrawing directly on the historical record\, the play looks beyond the familiar stories of Raleigh to explore the final chapter of his life and the events that shaped a legacy spanning centuries. \nThat Knave\, Raleigh is written and performed by Andrew Margerison and directed by Rebecca Vaughan. \nThe production is performed in the Mercury Studio on Wednesday 7 October 2026 at 7pm. The running time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes with no interval\, and age guidance is 12+. \nPlease note that the production contains references to suicide\, death\, and execution\, a gunshot sound effect\, and may include the use of haze.
