The Big Sleepout

You may be aware, I am president of Colchester Forum Rotary Club this year and my main fundraiser is to raise money for Colchester Homeless Charities.

We are trying to get business’s and individuals to support the event with sponsorship and sleeping out in the grounds of the park and right next to Castle, each obtaining a minimum of £300 sponsorship.

If you didn’t want to sleep out (incidentally we have the Mayor and other dignitaries etc taking part) we would of course still love your company or for individuals to support it by sponsoring it with a straight £300 donation.

This event will have a large presence on social media, radio, newspapers and word of mouth, every business that sponsors will be included on the posters and all literature that goes out.

Of course this is a fun way to really help the people that need it the most in these very hard times and the groups that manage homelessness in the town that are doing an amazing job and this will help them to support many others.

I am hoping you will support me and this Colchester event in our beautiful Castle Park and come and spend the night under the stars.

PS Small tents are allowed but there will be plenty of cardboard boxes available on the night for a more hardcore experience.
