DESCRIPTION:Tickets £12 / £10 concessions.Doors open 7pm\, starts 7.30pm. \nAn all-star night of wordsmithery in partnership with WORD HABIT. \nAndy RileyAndy Riley is an exceptionally funny man with a comedy CV to die for! He’s written for a whole host of beloved comedy shows\, including Big Train\, Smack The Pony\, Armstrong and Miller\, Black Books\, Spitting Image\, The Armando Iannucci Show\, Veep\, Trigger Happy TV\, and Year of the Rabbit to name just a few. He’s won not only a BAFTA\, but an Emmy as well\, and is the creator\, author and artist of the best-selling series of Bunny Suicides cartoon books (thus far selling around one and a half million copies). Expect hilarious stories\, poems\, and laughs aplenty from a man that has been involved some of the greatest comedies of the last couple of decades or so. A hysterical delight not to be missed! \nJames DomesticDomestic has been wowing crowds across the country over the past few years with his quirky\, funny\, and often poignant observations on the minutiae of everyday life effortlessly crafted into irreverent\, punk-ish poems. He’s appeared on BBC Radio a number of times\, guested on various podcasts\, and even performed on BBC Breakfast telly as part of a feature on the 50th anniversary of Ceefax (!). He has several books to his name\, most published by Earth Island Books\, and has supported legends such as Luke Wright and Attila The Stockbroker\, Subhumans\, Andy Riley\, and Pet Needs to name but a few. He’s received much praise from highly regarded poets and musicians alike and will appear at a number of festivals throughout 2025. \nLeon The PoetLeon The Poet has been making a name for himself on the East Anglian poetry scene with his sometimes tender\, and often hilarious words. With poems on pop culture\, parenthood\, heartbreak\, pubs\, fruit-based mishaps\, machismo\, politics\, God\, sandwiches\, and the career trajectory of dogs\, there’s something here for everyone. Leon was raised in\, but has since left\, a high control religious group. His debut collection of poetry\, ‘Sometimes I’m The Bull\, Sometimes I’m The China Shop’\, takes a big swing at life in 2024\, and is published by Earth Island Books. \nDawn VincentDawn Vincent opens the evening. Her poems explore a variety of topics\, including mental health\, body image\, and relationships. Serious stuff\, but always delivered with warmth and humour\, and bursting with humanity.
