The artworks depict the great outdoors of Essex and beyond; its epic landscapes\, woodlands and skies. More than this\, the show will be a peaceful\, immersive sensory experience that will literally have you breathing in fresh air\, revelling in nature and watching moving skyscapes as they flow over the artwork. SUMMARY:DM Lab Colchester - DIY Electronic Instruments
DESCRIPTION:Experiment with building your own instrument\, with a custom MIDI controller! \nAt this months DMLab we’ll play with simple circuits and Arduino programming to create custom interfaces to control computers\, also known as MIDI controllers. Maybe yours will use a distance sensor\, or perhaps big colourful buttons in a unique orientation? All equipment provided (including template arduino code). No prior knowledge needed. \nParticipants are welcome to bring their own laptop if they wish. Please note that this project is aimed at people age 18 and over\, and all experience levels are welcome. \nDMLab Colchester is an exciting collaboration between CLIP and Drake Music. For the next three years\, from November 2025\, we’ll host monthly meet ups bringing together an inclusive community of makers and musicians on a regular basis\, to support the development of new accessible musical instruments. DMLab Colchester is an inclusive\, community-led space for musicians and creative technologists\, disabled and nondisabled\, to create\, hack instruments\, jam & explore new ways to make music. Join Red Riding Hood as she goes on this exciting adventure\, meeting both furry friends and foes alike! Red is an adventurous young spirit who wants nothing more than to see the world. Her wish comes true when she is sent to fetch her poor old granny in the woods some bread. \nHowever\, things turn from weird to weirder\, as along the way she encounters a group of deranged dancing dogs\, curiously choral creatures\, and a certainly fierce furry foe. \nThis pantomime will have you singing\, clapping\, and screaming “IT’S BEHIND YOU” in no time! \nWritten by Naiden Janes\, Directed by Christina Davies\, and performed by University of Essex Theatre Arts Society.

DESCRIPTION:Tickets £8 / £7 concessions.Doors open 7.30pm\, starts 8pm.This gig is for a seated audience. \nGoodiepal or Gæoudjiparl van den Dobbelsteen\, whose real name is Parl Kristian Bjørn Vester\, is a controversial Danish/Faroese musician/composer. \nThe eccentric and self-made Goodiepal has influenced the course of modern music through radical excursions into computer technology and media art. Until recently he has been employed as a teacher at DIEM (Danish Institute for Electro-acoustic Music) at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus\, Denmark.
