Featuring paintings\, drawings and works in other media\, the exhibition explores place through direct observation\, light and atmosphere. \nFrom expansive rural views to quieter urban moments\, the exhibition brings together a range of perspectives rooted in lived experience and the practice of working outdoors. \nOrganised by myself and proudly sponsored by Colchester Art Society\, this exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to engage with contemporary plein air practice and the diverse ways artists respond to their environment. \n🎨 Exhibiting artists: Members of Colchester Art Society📍 Inspired by Colchester & surrounding areas🖼️ Paintings\, drawings and mixed media \nVisitors are warmly invited to attend the Meet the Artists event on 15th January\, 12–3 pm\, and to enjoy the exhibition throughout its run. 🎨✨

DESCRIPTION:In light of the recent changes being implemented across the arts sector\, in order to better enable accessibility for arts funding bodies\, the Mercury Theatre and Graeae would like to invite you to a brand-new Masterclass. \nAccessible Funding with Deepa Shastri and Roxanne Carney\, in association with Mercury Creatives will take place from 10.30am – 12pm on Sat 17 Jan. \nIn a panel led by Deepa Shastri from Arts Council England and theatre producer Roxanne Carney\, you will be guided through the support available for artists who are facing accessibility barriers in applying to organisations for funding. \nAfterwards\, the space shall remain available for a chance to chat with your fellow artists. \nSpaces are limited\, so book your free place early to avoid disappointment. \nIf you book and can no longer attend nearer the time\, please let our Box Office know as someone else could take your space.
