SUMMARY:Queen's Greatest Hits Colchester
DESCRIPTION:Come and celebrate Queen in style with A Comprehensive re-enactment of Queen’s Greatest Hits \nDon’t Stop us Now – and there’s certainly no stopping The Bohemians as they power through thirty-four (YES 34!!) of Queen’s greatest hits\, taken from Hits 1 & 2\, over this two hour show! \nThe Bohemians are one of the UK’s longest-running and internationally renowned Queen Tribute bands\, who take you on a high-energy roller-coaster ride of a concert\, featuring the music\, costumes\, and showmanship of one of the world’s most popular and iconic rock acts of all time\, Queen. \nBilled as ‘The World’s most exciting Queen Tribute’ The Bohemians start proceedings as they mean to continue. \nRight from the beginning\, you will be gripped by a bombastic\, authentic audiovisual representation of Queen’s iconic Wembley ‘86 performance as the Bohemians burst onto the stage to the strains of One Vision and A Kind of Magic. So many fabulous hits to be covered but they’re all here\, from the early piano and harmony heavy wonders of Killer Queen and Don’t Stop Me Now\, to the later\, catchy pop anthems of the eighties. \nThe second hour concentrates on the later hits\, and once again there is an array of brilliance to embrace. \nThe stunning Breakthru provides both the introduction and the costume presentation for this part of the set\, which includes a new feature of The Bohemians stage show\, a slick rendering of classics from the late eighties and early nineties era. I Want it all\, The Show must go on\, and the haunting\, Days of our Lives are just some of those featured. \nThe set then pays tribute to the sights and sounds of the famous Live Aid performance and of course\, the awesome Bohemian Rhapsody. Then it’s back to Wembley ‘86 for a spectacular finale when The Bohemians will have you on your feet\, singing\, dancing and clapping along to the likes of Radio Ga Ga\, We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions. A climax to a truly memorable live re-enactment of the world’s greatest Rock Band.

SUMMARY:Shed + Oi MATE! + Basalt + Very Special Opening Act
DESCRIPTION:Keep Colchester Cool in collaboration with Colchester Arts Centre presents \nShed \nFlowing out of some misty East Anglian estuary\, Shed are a Colchester-based collective fusing indie rock\, punk spirit\, and folk storytelling into a fast-paced\, heart-on-sleeve whirlwind of sound. Their music is a rollercoaster of raw emotion and sharp humour – where fish and chips\, anxiety\, lazy susans\, and mending pottery all have equal weight in the lyrical spotlight. With storytelling at the core and chaos at the edges\, Shed’s songs dive headfirst into the beautiful dysfunction of everyday life\, spinning tales that are as relatable as they are unpredictable. Whimsical\, thought-provoking\, and proudly rough around the edges – Shed is less a band\, more a glorious mess you’ll want to be part of. \nOi Mate \nMade up from the jaded remnants of several failed local bands\, Oi MATE!’s take on life\, the media and politics is tongue-in-cheek at best. Described as Wonk-Punk curators of throwaway British culture since at least the middle of last week – expect some surprising twists and turns delivered with a unique wonk-punk wink and a cheeky swagger. \nBasalt \nBasalt is the collaboration between sound artist Frazer Merrick and drummer Ben Hunt\, creating breakbeat electronica. 90s-inspired beats are accompanied by DIY synths and processed field recordings. A sound that is both rough and polished at the same time. \nwith A Very Special Opening Act. \nTickets £8/£7 concsDoors open 7.30pm\, show starts 8pmThis gig is for a standing audience
