DESCRIPTION:SECRET AFFAIR + PURPLE HEARTS \nEseential mod revival double bill. \nFormed from the ashes of Power Pop band New Hearts\, Secret Affair built their reputation with sell out shows at the Bridge House in Canning Town\, London and with a high profile support slot on The Jam’s 1979 tour. \nSecret Affair went on to have 5 x Top 40 singles\, ‘Time For Action’\, ‘Let Your Heart Dance\, ‘My World’\, ‘Do You Know?’\, ‘Sound of Confusion’\, and 3 acclaimed LP’s\, ‘Glory Boys’\, ‘Behind Closed Doors’ and ‘Business As Usual’\, released before splitting in 1982. After reforming in 2002 by popular demand Secret Affair released a brand new album ‘Soho Dreams’ in 2012 and a limited edition 45 cover of Frank Wilson’s ‘Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)’. \nFormed in 1977\, Purple Hearts were one of the main bands from the ‘Mod Revival’ era along with The Jam\, Secret Affair\, The Lambrettas\, & The Chords. Their debut single ‘Millions Like Us’ hit the UK charts and was swiftly followed up with ‘Frustration’. \nIn 1980 Purple Hearts released their debut album ‘Beat That!’ along with a single from the LP ‘Jimmy’\, which also reached the UK charts.
