SUMMARY:Public Service Vehicle Day
DESCRIPTION:Come and get up close and personal to a nice display of buses\, trucks\, military vehicles\, fire engines\, police cars and ambulances. Learn about the history of the fire service thanks to a pop up museum and get your photo taken with police items\, thanks to Essex Police Museum. There will also be free bus rides to Bures and back on some of the buses in the display\, a round trip of about 25 minutes. We will have one of our steam and diesel trains in operation\, as well as our miniature railway offering unlimited rides all day long. The Braintree & Halstead Model Railway Club will have their club rooms open with an impressive display of model railways. Let your little ones let off some steam on our train themed playground and let them pretend to be a bus driver on our play and picnic bus. \nPlatform Two Café (run by Stour Valley Catering) shall be open selling hot and cold drinks and snacks and our very own micro pub\, The Viaduct\, will be open selling a range of beers\, ciders\, wines and soft drinks. \nMolly Moos Ice Cream will also be in attendance.Book your tickets online in advance for a 5% discount. \nSPECIAL OFFER FOR BLUE LIGHT / ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL!As a thank you to our emergency and armed forces personnel\, we are offering a 10% on the door admission discount. This rich\, biodiverse and irreplaceable habitat\, which many species call home\, is still under threat from development. \nOur gathering and walk – with banners and posters of the wildlife which would be annihilated if plans for housing went ahead against council\, Natural England and local resident’s wishes – will be a celebration but also a resolute call to protect what and who cannot speak for themselves. \nGentle Reminder: Respect Our Wildlife.As we gather for this special event\, we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of the local wildlife. DESCRIPTION:An evening of good music\, good vibes and good times. Making memories\, while raising money for MacMillan. \nWe have 4 fantastic Live bands for you\, as well as a disco to finish the night off!First we have ‘SKaM’ local covers band playing everything from Small Faces and Foo Fighters\, to Chic and Daft Punk\, then we have ‘Versus coda’ an originals band from the Essex Swamps! Playing a mixture of classic and modern hard rock and then we also have ‘Punk Freud’ a local Punk rock band playing some classic punk rock hits. To finish the night off\, we have ourselves ‘Pretty in pink’ playing nostalgic pop/punk\, rock and indie classics from 80’s to present. \nWe also have a licensed bar\, a BBQ\, a photographer\, merch stand\, toilets\, smoking area and free parking. (All wheelchair accessible).  \nDoors open 7pm. \nPretty in Pink have decided this year to support Macmillan Cancer Support. There is not a point in life in which one of us is not affected by cancer\, whether it be a family member\, close friend or even directly. As a band we spend all year providing entertainment for people\, now we want to be able to use that passion for music to help a bigger cause!By purchasing a ticket to the biggest party of 2025 you have already helped raised money for the cause!
