DESCRIPTION:House DJs Reunite for Charity Weekend at the King’s Arms\, Frating \nMusic lovers are invited to step back in time as three of the original legendary DJs from the iconic Tartan House reunite for a very special charity weekend\, raising funds for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance. \nTaking place over the weekend of Saturday 12th September and Sunday 13th September at the King’s Arms\, Frating\, the event promises a fantastic mix of nostalgia\, live entertainment and community spirit\, all in support of an incredible local charity. \nSaturday evening will see three of the original Tartan House DJs return to the decks for a rare reunion. Many will remember the Tartan House\, which once stood opposite the King’s Arms in Frating and became one of the area’s most popular venues throughout the 1970s and 1980s. \nTaking to the decks are legendary DJs: \n* Maurice Hawkins\, affectionately known as “Mr Toast”* Andy Starr\, well known as the owner of Rollerworld in Colchester* Jimmi Dixon\, another legendary local DJ who helped create the unforgettable atmosphere of the Tartan House. \nThis unique reunion offers a chance for former regulars to relive the music\, memories and magic of one of Essex’s most-loved nightlife venues. The pub will be open from lunchtime\, with the music running from 6.00pm until 11.00pm. Tickets for Saturday evening are £10\, with the event raising funds for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance while helping to cover the costs of staging this special charity weekend. \nThe celebrations continue on Sunday 13th September\, from 12.00pm until 8.00pm\, with free entry for everyone. DESCRIPTION:Relax beneath Luke Jerram’s spectacular Museum of the Moon installation at Colchester Castle during this immersive Reiki and sound healing experience on 17th September from 6.30pm to 8.30pm (Doors open 6.15pm). Combining Reiki with crystal singing bowls\, therapeutic gongs and shamanic drums\, this special evening is designed to help you unwind\, switch off from daily distractions and enjoy a moment of calm beneath the moon. \nThe session includes introductions\, intention-setting\, the Reiki sound bath itself\, and an optional opportunity to stay and chat afterwards. \nLed by award-winning Reiki Master Teacher Chia-Yen Oh and Master Gong Practitioner and yoga teacher Amanda Anderson\, this unique collaboration brings together their shared experience in wellbeing\, sound and relaxation practices. \nPlease bring a yoga mat. You may also wish to bring a blanket\, pillow\, eye mask and water bottle for comfort. Warm clothing is recommended. \nSuitable for ages 16+ when accompanied by a parent or guardian attending the event.
