DESCRIPTION:The day’s drawing will focus on Harry Becker’s great facility for drawing from life. Alongside artist Jevan Watkins Jones\, study a selection of Becker’s drawings\, experiment with his techniques and assimilate them with your own through creative drawing tasks in the Front Room and from life in the garden. \nBasic drawing materials will be supplied. You’re welcome to bring your preferred materials also. \nThis drawing workshop celebrates the acquisition of a new Becker drawing\, Horses and Binder Teams for the VBLF collection held at The Minories. Funds raised from this workshop will be put towards future acquisitions.  \nHis drawings\, etchings\, lithographs and paintings capture\, with passion and sensitivity\, labourers in the field and horses at work in the landscape he most cared for. \nHarry Becker lived at The Minories with his parents and siblings between 1865 and 1903.It’s from here that he started out on his artistic journey studying at the Royal Academy in Antwerp aged fourteen 1879 – 81.

The bands current line is Steve Overland – Vocals\, Merv Goldsworthy – Bass\, Pete Jupp – Drums\, Jem Davis – Keyboards and Jim Kirkpatrick – Guitar. \n“From our meeting in a Notting Hill pub in 1984 to our “one off” comeback gig at Firefest 2007\, it’s great to now tour beyond our 40th Anniversary shows\,” says FM’s drummer\, Pete Jupp. “Who’d have thought we’d reach such a milestone?” \nJoining FM as special guest in London\, Wolverhampton\, Manchester and Leeds we have Rosalie Cunningham. There is one flight of stairs to reach the tasting room.
