Founder member of the legendary ‘Cleaners from Venus’\, co-writer of songs with pop star Captain Sensible\, his first solo album ‘The Greatest Living Englishman’ produced by XTC’s Andy Partridge and later hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as a rock classic.  \n More recently and more locally\, folk fans will have encountered Martin blending his poetry with the music of the talented folk ensemble’The Hosepipe Band’.Achieving fame as a pop poet\, featuring on BBC radio shows and literature festivals and resident pop poet for 2 national newspapers over 28 years\, Martin was said to be the UK’s most published living poet Martin continues to fill venues on his tours with 2 sold out London gigs this year with ‘The Gardeners’ at Bush Hall.
