DESCRIPTION:Back in Colchester for the first time since 2016. \nThe band features original Monochrome Set members Bid (guitar/vocals) and Andy Warren (bass)\, with Dave Morgan (drums) and Athen Ayren (keyboard)  \nThe Monochrome Set formed in 1978\, and were heavily influential in the post-punk scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk. The band’s early releases were on the legendary Rough Trade label before signing with Virgin offshoot Din Disc. They also released several albums on the Cherry Red label\, making a notable appearance on that labels’ well known “Pillows and Prayers” compilation. \nThough The Monochrome Set split in 1985 the next decade saw several reunions for both live gigs and further studio recordings. After a hiatus of over a decade the band reformed full time in 2010 and have since toured all over the UK\, Europe\, Japan and the USA\, whilst also releasing eight\, new\, critically acclaimed\, studio albums. \nNow in their 48th year\, they are beginning a new series of gigs promoting their new album and playing songs from throughout that time. \nSupport – X KaminskiMuch loved local noiseniks playing punk\, post-punk\, and new wave from 1976-82

This is yoga as practice\, disciplined\, devotional and intentional. \nEach class\, we move through three core elements:Kriya – Energy YogaKriya means “purifying action”.These intentional practices may include breathwork\, dynamic movements\, holds and focused awareness.Kriya helps to clear energy blockages\, awaken life force (prana)\, sharpen mental focus and prepare the body and mind for deeper work. \nStrong Vinyasa – Physical YogaVinyasa means “to place in a special way”\, the intelligent linking of breath and movement.This section builds heat\, strength and resilience through purposeful sequencing. Expect dynamic flows\, standing work\, inversions\, balance and core integration.The aim is not aesthetic perfection\, but embodied strength and steadiness. \nPranayama – BreathwokPranayama translates as “expansion of life force”.We close each class with guided breath practices to integrate the physical work and bring the system back into balance.This is where the practice settles. Where the mind softens. Where awareness deepens. \nThroughout the class we weave mantra\, mudra and chanting\, as part of the tradition of yoga. \nWho This Class Is ForThis class is suited to those who enjoy a strong physical practice and are open to the traditional elements of yoga.
