THE WILD BOARS are a 5 piece Italian folk/rock/roots/bluegrass infused band who include amongst their influences Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs, Violent Femmes, the Clash, the Pogues, the Caravans, Flogging Molly, Miles Hunt, 16 Horsepower, Calexico, Hayseed Dixie, Michelle Shocked, the Gourds, Hank III, Kenneth Brian, Okkervil River ….to name but a few.

JASON McNIFF

Jason McNiff is a first class fingerstyle guitarist and folk/country influenced songwriter. His first album was called ‘Off the Rails’ and came out of a residency at London’s 12 bar club in 1999-2000 where he had been spotted by Bert Jansch’s brother-in-law, Chris Kidson. Chris ran a label called Snowstorm which was to go on to release a further two albums, 2003’s ‘Nobody’s Son’ and a compilation, ‘In My Time’ in 2008. In 2011 he was picked up by Fledg’ling records, an offshoot of Topic, for his album ‘April Cruel’ and in 2014 he formed a folk rock band, the Lone Malones, with whom he made a record called ‘God Knows Why We Dream’. In all, McNiff has made 6 albums plus a two disc compilation, ‘Rain Dries your Eyes’ which came out in 2017. He has worked with Andy Allan, Hank dogs, Modena City Ramblers, Alan Tyler, and recorded with Emma Tricca for a 6 track EP entitled ‘Southern Star. His new album, entitled ‘Joy and Independence’, sees McNiff go back to his troubadour roots of one voice one guitar. It was released on 27th July, 2018. Jason has been nominated for best Alt. Country album at the Independent Music Awards in the US and received rave reviews for his music.
