Want to play at Kelvedon Festival? Essex Rocks have a few slots left in their ‘Battle of the Bands’ – the winner gets to play the Essex Rocks stage at Kelvedon Festival in July.
Dates for the battle are Thursday 8th April and Thursday 22nd April at The Bull, Colchester with a final on Friday 7th May at the Golden Fleece in Chelmsford. Apply by emailing

If you’re a musician aged 14 -21 you’ve got until March 31st to enter Essex Music Agency Undiscovered 2010; a county wide music contest. It’d be great to see Colchester well represented here.

There’s a buzz about town regarding rejected rocstars featuring Bentley Rhythm Ace (live), Krafty Kuts, Cut La Roc and StereoFreakz at the University on March 27th. Get your tickets online or from Revolver Retro Clothing in Colchester.

Cosmic Puffin takes place on Easter Weekend in East Mersea and the line up includes Keep Colchester Cool favourites such as Hokie Joint, Ady Johnson, New Town Kings,  Surfquake, Vardo and The Boss, Hobo Chang, and loads more great bands.
Cosmic Puffin are also looking for Spoken Word and Theatre for one of their tents email if you can help out.
