The Specflue Music4Life 2010 Festival takes place on Saturday 7th August at the Delphi club site in Sudbury, Suffolk, and will be a celebration of life with activities for all the family. The bill will showcase the UK’s best breaking bands including Colchester’s Cav OK.

The money raised from the festival goes to The Eden-Rose Coppice charity which provides green spaces and a sanctuary to help those with terminal or serious illnesses enjoy nature with their loved ones.

The charity was set up by founder Rob Brooks – whose wife Rosemary died of cancer – and has been up and running for nearly 18 months. The Trust in Sudbury has provided an escape for an estimated 70 sufferers of cancer and other serious illnesses. The project has also been extensively used by children with special needs who have spent a total of 3,000 hours taking advantage of the site’s facilities.

Rob Brooks is a good friend of mine and we have been sharing our experiences in putting on our first festivals this year. Rob has personally offered to donate some money to Colchester! Free Festival that is being organised by Keep Colchester Cool and Slack Space. The money Rob has kindly offered to donate will be based upon the amount of tickets that are sold online and include the text ‘Colchester Free Festival’ in the Fax Number field on the online booking form at

The tickets are £10 per person.
