Save Britain’s Heritage and The Friends of Colchester Roman Wall invite you to an evening to ‘Save Colchester’s Heritage’ taking  place at the Town Hall, Colchester on Thursday 8th July. Drinks from 6.30pm, speakers at 7pm.

It will be the first chance to see a new report about Colchester produced by Save Britain’s Heritage which is full of comment on the current state of the town’s built heritage – good, bad and indifferent – and ideas about ways to make it better.

It will also be the formal launch of the ‘Friends of Colchester Roman Wall’ – a new society set up at the initiative of the former mayor, Councillor Henry Spyvee, to preserve and enhance the town wall and its setting.Including the launches of a new report on the town by Save Britain’s Heritage and the new society to preserve the town’s Roman wall.

The evening will also include reports from the Roman Circus appeal and from the Colchester world heritage site bid.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
