Slack Space  have announced their line-up of events for  April.

Primary  exhibition
The first ever young people’s art exhibition runs at Slack Space until 15 April. ‘Primary’ is an exhibition of work by children aged 5 – 11 and includes work from:

Essex Home Educators
Broomgrove Junior School
North Primary School
Hamilton Primary School
Myland Primary School
Layer De La Haye Primary School
St Mary’s School  

Slack Space  will be hosting a similar exhibition for Secondary aged children in June so schools and home educators should register their interest now at    

Slack Space April Mini fest
The Slack Space April mini fest will run from Thursday 7 – Saturday 9 April

Thursday 7 April 7.30pm – 9.00pm
Funky Voices! A free evening of lively and uplifting songs from this 80 strong popular choir

Friday 8 April 7.30pm – 10.30pm
Slack Space comedy club makes a welcome return. MC: Hazel Humphries with sets from Louise & Nadeem, David Traynier, Aaron Spalding, Ted Luff and Chris Singleton

Saturday 9 April 10.30am – 1.00pm
Lady Bird and the Larks workshop
Lady Bird and the Larks are looking for 25 people aged over 10 to join their Choir for the Sing and Bling Ding Dong Show at the Headgate Theatre Fri 15th April. Participants will need to be able to commit to the workshop, possibly a second workshop on Sun afternoon and the actual performance

Free kids craft table during Easter Holidays
A  free kids craft table will be available at Slack Space during opening hours for the duration of the Easter Holidays. Activities include egg decoration, friendship bands from recycled materials and Toy Towns.
