Sparky at SparkWrite reviews Poop Poop!, staged at the Headgate Theatre.
The show was a beautifully narrated musical reimagining of “Wind in the Willows.” Upon entering the theatre, we were greeted with a charming surprise – a small bag of sweets that added a delightful touch to the experience. The performers’ costumes were nothing short of outstanding; the bushy tails and fluffy ears brought an extra layer of whimsy that brought a smile to my face.
As the performance unfolded, I was completely mesmerised by the singing. Each note seemed to transform the atmosphere, and it was enchanting to see the children around me become swept away by the captivating music and brilliant storytelling.
One of my favourite aspects was how the children had to engage their imaginations to follow the narrative. It created an interactive experience that heightened their connection to the story. Additionally, I was thoroughly impressed by the perfect harmony from the singers that brought the performance to life; each sound added depth and richness to the overall experience.
In essence, this was a delightful show that left me walking away with a heart full of joy.
