Tim Noble & Sue Webster’s Love and Hate at Firstsite brings a series of illuminated sculptures by the internationally recognised British artists to spaces throughout the Colchester gallery.

The exhibition draws on Noble and Webster’s distinctive use of light, signage and popular culture. Their illuminated works reference everything from British seaside attractions to Las Vegas and Times Square, using flashing and sequencing lights to explore opposing ideas including love and hate, optimism and nihilism.

The exhibition can be found throughout the Firstsite building and runs until Sunday 27 September 2026.

Admission is free and no booking is required.

Firstsite is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 5pm, Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. It is closed on Mondays.

Please note that the exhibition includes flashing lights and contrasting colours.
