Physical Slop: Rage, Love and Chaos is a new exhibition by Shart Artfunkle at Level Best Art Gallery in Colchester.

Running throughout September, the exhibition presents work from the mysterious artist described by their agent as a “two-bob Banksy, the destitute man’s Basquiat and Salva Don’t Dali”.

Sitting somewhere between satire, parody and contemporary art, the work plays with questions about originality, meaning and what makes something art in the first place.

The exhibition runs at Level Best Art Gallery from Tuesday 1st to Tuesday 29th September 2026, and is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
