Imagine a room full of music, laughter and people of all ages dancing, whooping and clapping. That’s a Ceilidh.

The dances are energetic but everyone – of any age – can get on the floor.

A Ceilidh isn’t about getting every step right—it’s about taking part and enjoying the experience. The dances are easy to learn and quick to pick up. Elsa and Gary take you through the steps. And everyone else gives a helping hand.

You don’t need lessons, special clothing or even a partner. You just step onto the floor and give it a go. Before long, you’ll be spinning around, moving up and down the set, and meeting new people.

So take that step, join the set and discover why generations of people have fallen in love with Scottish Dancing – Ceilidh style.
