Colchester’s freshest bar, Tin Pan Alley, opens for business on Saturday, 27th November 2010 and promises a top weekend of live music this Saturday, Sunday and Monday night.

Located at 7 Queen Street in Colchester, the venue – previously the What? Bar – has been taken on by business partners Doug Archell and Ben Spetsiotis.

Doug Archell said, “We looked at a number of premises in the town, but the opportunity to breathe new life into this building was one we could not overlook. The fact that this part of Colchester is undergoing a period of transition, with it becoming the Cultural Quarter, new hotels being built nearby, and the Firstsite arts facility opening next year, really excited us.

“We’re really looking forward to our grand opening and providing a new venue for Colchester.”
