10.41°C You’ll spot two familiar Colchester faces on BBC Four this Sunday, 15 November 2015, between 9pm and 9.30pm.
Anthony Roberts (Colchester Arts Centre / Firstsite) and Andy Winmill (Colchester Arts Centre / Colchester Free Festival) will be performing live as part of Live from Television Centre.
Look out for The Redux Project by Richard Dedomenici, which audaciously recreates memorable moments from 43 years of BBC Television Centre in meticulous detail. Dedomenici has made an art form of simultaneously recreating – or ‘reduxing’ – scenes from film and television.
The performance both sends up and celebrates iconic moments from early Eurovision Song Contests, Top Of The Pops, Blue Peter and BBC News. Using an imaginative array of makeshift props, he playfully dissects the broadcast format while encouraging viewers to create their own television, too.
