Dead Air Live returns with DAL06 – An Evening of Naval Gazing on Saturday 4th June 2011 aboard the historic TS Colne Lightship at King Edward Quay, The Hythe (near B&Q).

Curated by Lee Ashcroft, the line-up brings together an eclectic mix of experimental and alternative sounds:

Hong Kong in the 60s (Ghost Box, Proper Songs)
Hauntological up-and-comers and collaborators with Advisory Circle.

Sons of Joy
Cliché-free violin duelling from Daniel Merrill and Rev Simpkins.

The Doomed Bird of Providence (Front & Follow)
Antipodean tales of death and misery.

Teterom (Digital Vomit)
Minimalist electronic soundscapes.

Calaco (Obsolete Media Objects)
Creating sound to capture silence.

Each performance will take place in a different part of the ship, so expect steep stairs and ladders – appropriate footwear is advised.

Doors open at 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start.
Tickets are £5 on the door.

The event is made possible with the support of Jolian Searles, Commanding Officer Tony Adams and the Colchester Sea Cadets.
