Abstract Realism in Acrylics and Mixed Media
Have you ever wanted to explore and learn the skills and techniques of abstract realism? Set in idyllic Constable countryside, this three-day course will encourage painters to explore landscape painting through acrylic, oil or mixed media in either the studio or ‘En Plien Air’.
Practical advice and demonstrations will be given in preparing painting surfaces, painting techniques with Acrylic and Oil paint and composition.
Painters will also be involved in discussions on colour temperature, aerial perspective and focal points within a painting. One to one discussions will be available as well as an optional open critic on Saturday evening.
Included in this course will be a visit to Benton End, the former home of The East Anglian School of Art. Students will be able to spend time in the extensive grounds of this beautiful house, with time to study, enjoy and create before returning to Flatford.
