To celebrate the paperback release of C.L. Miller’s The Antique Hunter’s Guide to Murder we have an evening event at which she will be joined by Barnaby Walter. He will be promoting his first venture in to the horror genre called Scuttle. Her novel is a very entertaining cosy crime one which makes full use of her background, she comes from a family of famous antique experts. The heroine of the novel Freya is drawn back in to a life she thinks she has escaped, when her former mentor dies in suspicious circumstances. The search for the truth of his death brings her to an “antique enthusiasts weekend” where everything is not as it seems. The antiques are bad reproductions and the guests all have something to hide. B.P. Walter has visited the store before to talk about his psychological thrillers. His first horror novel is being released in the build up to Halloween. It has been described as nerve-shredding old-school horror perfect for fans of Stephen King, Scuttle spins a gruesomely gripping tale of creatures in the woods, as a female camper is found dead with suspicious bite marks on her body.
