Charlotte Northedge & B.P. Walter in Conversation
We are delighted to welcome Charlotte Northedge back to the store and to have B.P. Walter here for the first time. They will be chatting about their latest novels and their approach to the craft of writing.
The People Before by Charlotte Northedge is set fairly locally, on the Essex-Suffolk border. Jess & her husband have bought their dream house in the country but from the start something feels very wrong. This novel is creepy and full of atmosphere. All sorts of strange happenings around Maple House seem to lead back to the dark history of the family who lived there before.
B.P. Walter’s The Dinner Guest was a Waterstones Thriller of the Month. His new novel, Notes on a Murder, is a story of first love on a remote Greek island that turns into something much darker. Lisa Hall has called it “dark and gripping, with strong shades of Patricia Highsmith”.
If you want to join us, tickets must be purchased online and doors will open at 6.45pm for a 7pm start.
