Colchester Makerspace Social
A FREE monthly Open Workshop, a chance for current & potential members to come together and catch up.
Thinking of becoming a member and want to know more? Already a member and want to catch up with the others? Colchester Makerspace Socials are free of charge, include a short introduction to Colchester Makerspace, an opportunity to meet some of our members and associate artists and hear a short show-and-tell from our this month’s Maker of the Month.
This month’s Maker of the Month is Harriet Caslin who specialis in crafting transformative midcentury style pendant lights. Her work plays on and tactility, capturing attention and inviting closer inspection. Harriet’s creations extend beyond mere functionality, blurring the line between art and utility, adding character to everyday life.
This Social is part of a city wide programme called First Thursdays – a new monthly festival with events throughout Colchester city centre! The festival celebrates the city’s vibrant and diverse cultural scene, seeing venues across the city thrown open for the community, with fantastic performances, workshops and interactive experiences.
