Colchester has its Christmas Market from 10am to 4pm on 10th December 2023. Why not combine your visit to the market with a tour of our historic city centre seeing places and hearing stories that cover 2000 years of history!
Join me for a guided walk through the history of Colchester, Britain’s oldest and newest city. I will tell you stories that include tales of Celts, Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Normans, the Wool trade, the Civil War, the Georgians, the Victorians, the last century and right up to the present. We will see the places where they lived, were entertained, fought and worshiped over the last 2000 years.
The tour includes special access to Colchester’s Roman Theatre (if available).
At the end of the tour you can get lunch in the Christmas market or at one of the many cafes in the city centre, before doing your shopping in the Christmas Market.
Tour is £6 plus fee per person if booked through Eventbrite.
£6 per person (no fee) if paid for with cash or contactless card on the day. You can just turn up, but it would be great if you could could message me to le me know you are coming!
