Come & Meet a Selection of Our Favourite Local Authors

November 23, 2023

We hope you will join us for an informal evening at which you can meet and talk to a selection of our favourite local authors. It will give you a chance to get a signed copy of one of their available books, which might make an ideal present. If you are part of a book group, it might give you some great ideas for forthcoming reads.

The authors who are attending are: Laura Purcell, who has written five beautifully atmospheric gothic mysteries and contributed to two excellent collections of spooky stories; L.C. North AKA Lauren North, who has written four gripping, domestic noir stories in paperback and her latest hardback thriller is about the dangers of fame, it is told from multiple viewpoints and using social media extracts; James Henry has written three police procedurals which are set in Colchester in the 1980s, so they are great if you can remember that era before phones and computers had taken over everything; George De’Ath has written a very dark, horror tinged serial killer thriller called Face of Evil, in which a journalist plays dangerous mind games with a notorious murderer on death row; Edward Cox is a fantasy writer who has published a trilogy and two standalone novels, the most recent of which is highly entertaining The Wood Bee Queen; James Elliott is an ex-Para and accredited psychotherapist who has written a book about how to develop your mental resilience by harnessing your emotions and building your confidence.

The doors will open at 6.30pm but you can come along at any time during the allotted time. There will be complimentary wine and nibbles available too.
