Drawing from Nature
Join Lisa Temple-Cox so you too can enjoy drawing from nature. This class offers the opportunity to make detailed observational drawings from natural history specimens and plants. This gives you the opportunity to understand how to reproduce the morphology of various natural forms on paper.
We will be working from a range of natural history resources, including native animal bones, dried plants and seedpods, sea shells, fossils, insects, and fresh plants gathered from the surrounding area.
We will begin with graphite pencil, but there will be opportunity to experiment with a range of drawing media including fine line pen, sanguine chalks (a wonderfully Renaissance medium) and charcoal pencils.
Refreshments are included but please bring lunch with you.
