Unravel Colchester’s ‘Dutch Weavers’ legacy and animate your own self-portrait using fabric.

As part of Signals’ Peoples of Essex project, in this workshop you’ll discover the prosperity the Dutch Weavers brought to Colchester when they were arrived in the 14th Century. To celebrate this, and other, positive stories of migration, we’re creating an animation of self-portraits from Essex people – and we want you to contribute! No experience or equipment required. Suitable for ages 16+.
