Following last year’s sell out success, the magical outdoor light trail is returning to Colchester Castle Park this winter with even more illuminated installations for all the family to enjoy.

For the second year, Enlightened will transform the landscape of the estate into a unique, mile-long journey of enchantment and illumination throughout December. Marvel at the majestic woodland that sparkles whilst being immersed in the magical soundscape. Try your hand at one of the many interactive elements where you can control the installation whilst competing with your fellow visitors and have your camera phone at the ready for the photo opportunity around every corner.

Enlightened 2023 will be the biggest, brightest, and boldest year yet with a trail bursting with even more interactive and immersive elements than ever before along with visitor favourites.

Enlightened runs every evening from the the 1st to 31st December with tickets available every 15 minutes from 5:00pm each night. Tickets start from £11 per adult and £8 per child if booked during our early bird sale which ends on the 28th February. Infants under 3 and carers are free. Hot food and beverages are available to purchase in a new catering hub in the centre of the trail.
