In 2023/24, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the school, St. John’s Green Primary launched a multi-disciplinary project using history, art, geography and language to embrace the school’s place at the heart of our city. This year’s edition of the Poetry in Motion walk is a collaboration between the school and Essex Poetry Collective, as a continuation of the legacy of this project. Visit some of Colchester’s best-known landmarks but through the eyes and words of some of the children from Year 5. With Billie Vasquez-Walters and members of the school community.
