This is part of a 12-week course that allows anyone to learn and improve their kizomba dancing; however, you can join at any time.
We have two levels.
Level 1 – for absolute beginners
Level 2 – for improvers
There is something for everyone, regardless of your experience or dancing background.
We will be using set routines to demonstrate and break down the fundamentals, rhythm, beat, timing and technique of Kizomba dance and its music.
Venue: Three Wise Monkeys, 60 High St, Colchester CO1 IDN.
Parking: The nearest car park is Priory Street Car Park – 40 Priory St, Colchester CO1 2QA. It is about 5 mins walk to the venue.

07:15 – 07:30 – Doors open
07:30 – 08:30 – Kizomba lessons (Level 1 and Level 2)
08:30 – 09:30 – Freestyle/Socials
Entry fee :
£8 – (at the door) or £90 for 12 weeks
Music: Mainly Kizomba and semba music, with sprinkles of salsa, bachata, and afro beats music.

These classes are for anyone who has been searching for an opportunity to learn Kizomba but never had the chance, or if you need more practice.
Fisayo is an experienced Kizomba instructor with a true passion for Kizomba dance and music.
What will I learn?

The course will progressively cover:
– The music and its rhythm.
– How to flow with the music.
– Weight shifting and hip movements.
– How to be a good Lead and/or a good follower.
– Various footwork (saida variations, corridinho, Virgula, Estrella etc).
