At this month’s meeting we are delighted to welcome a local author, James Henry. He has written a number of books set in the local area which have been read and enjoyed by some of our members following a launch event attended by our Lets Listen and Read group recently. Red Lion Books will be at the meeting selling copies of his books so make sure you bring along some cash or your card.

We will have tea, coffee and cake as usual and will also be holding a raffle for our charities – Next Chapter and Colchester Gateway.

A short part of the night will be our Annual Meeting where we will be electing our new committee and president for the year 2024/25.

We will also be holding a collection for period poverty – please bring along any donations of sanitary pads, tampons or towels – they will be passed onto the community fridge.

Visitors are very welcome and pay £5 which includes refreshments, this will be taken off your membership fee if you decide to join us on the evening. Please contact us for more details.
