Keyboardist and arranger for Grammy-nominated chart-topping jazz funk band Down to the Bone, Neil Angilley is also the first-choice keyboardist in Derek Nash’s Funk Experience, Latin group Picante, and Noel McCalla’s Some Kinda Wonderful.
A stunning pianist, equally at home playing Jazz, Latin, or Classical, Neil has also worked with violin virtuoso Vanessa Mae, alto saxophonist Maceo Parker, trumpeter Roy Hargrove, Snowboy & The Latin Section, and singers Lionel Richie and Lisa Stansfield.
A great exponent of Latin/Brazilian music, Neil’s remarkable playing is enormously respected throughout the music scene, and his live shows are spellbinding, incorporating instrumental virtuosity and three-part vocal harmony which adds a unique dimension to the sound, creating an uplifting take on infectious rhythms from Brazil and Cuba to the audience.
