Reuse and Recycle – Silver Clay

Sat, July 1 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm

Silver clay is magical, it contains fine silver particles – recycled from the car manufacturing industry – embedded into a binder so is both shiny and environmentally friendly.

It enables you the flexibility of moulding clay, the ease of adding textures to create unique pieces of jewellery, whilst also offering you the beauty of fine (hallmarkable) silver once fired, a real cheat for frustrated silversmiths.

There is around £60 worth of materials included in the course fee, giving you the chance to make 2 to 3 pieces of jewellery. We’ll be looking at two different techniques during this class.

– Making a silver leaf using silver paste
– Creating a piece of jewellery that incorporates fireable gemstones.
– Adding patina

Suitable for beginners and improvers. £60 worth of materials included.
