During this time the band had a series of top 20 singles, Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick was a UK number 1 & its follow up Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3 peaked at number 3. The albums Do It Yourself and New Boots and Panties!! Both went platinum.
