The Silk Road in Colchester hosts legendary Hacienda DJ Graeme Park on Saturday, 6th November 2010.

The night, titled ONE, has been organised by RW&B Events in aid of Transplant Sport UK, with profits helping people take part in sport.

Graeme Park’s career closely mirrors the rise of UK dance music and club culture. Working at Nottingham’s Select-A-Disc record shop in the early 1980s, he was among the first to champion the early house records arriving from Chicago, Detroit and New York. His growing reputation led to an invitation from Mike Pickering to cover at The Haçienda in 1988 — a pivotal moment just before the Summer of Love transformed the scene.

An eight-year Hacienda residency followed, along with international appearances across Australia, South America, the USA and Asia. Alongside his DJ sets, Park has produced and remixed tracks, hosted radio shows and remained a constant presence in club culture for more than 25 years.

Support on the night comes from Conan Liquid, Mick B, Darryl Wright, The Driver Brothers, and Partners In Soul.
