The Mercury Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for their highly anticipated 2024/5 pantomime, The New Adventures of Peter Pan, running from 23 November 2024 to 19 January 2025.

Cast Highlights:

  • Antony Stuart-Hicks (directed by and starring as Sherry Smee) – Described as “the best Dame in the country” (British Theatre).
  • Dale Superville (currently in Fawlty Towers West End cast) – Returning as Smee.
  • David Breeds (Rock of Ages, Dear Evan Hansen) – In the titular role of Peter Pan.
  • Jazz Evans (Spamalot, Madagascar – The Musical) – Making his Mercury debut as Captain Hook.
  • Alexandra Barredo (Witness for the Prosecution, Sex Education) – Returning as Wendy.
  • Sasha Latoya (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Little Shop of Horrors) – As Tinkerbell.
  • Nick Brittain-Keates (Sleeping Beauty) – Ensemble/Understudy.
  • Shelby Speed (Blippi – The Wonderful World Tour) – Ensemble/Understudy.

Junior Chorus:

Out of 126 hopefuls, 16 talented local performers aged 9–16 were selected to join the cast. These young stars include:

  • Isla Christie, Daisie McIntyre, Niamh Butcher, Tristan Mathieson-Scott, Harrison Agoro, Benjamin Spalding, Chloe Cheung, Roseanna Davis, Dolly Chew, Bella Guest, Lilia Gillooly, Misan Idowu, Archie Kropidlowski, Joe Clark, Miguel Benerayan, and Chloe Long.

Plot Teaser:

Neverland is in chaos! Captain Hook returns, seeking vengeance. With Peter Pan and the Lost Children in mortal danger, Tinkerbell rushes back to Colchester for help. Realising many years have passed, she must convince Wendy’s granddaughter to travel to Neverland and save Peter Pan from certain death.
Will they make it in time? Will Peter Pan conquer Hook once and for all? And what’s that ticking sound?

  • Accessible shows: Relaxed, audio-described, captioned, and BSL-interpreted performances.
  • Adults-only performances: Seven shows in January for audiences aged 18+.
