Musik in the Park returns to Colchester on Saturday 3rd May, and Sunday 4th May 2025, with a bigger and more varied lineup than ever before. The festival has expanded with the addition of two new arenas, offering a greater range of experiences.

Taking place at The Recreation Ground on Old Heath Road, this year’s event will feature world-class DJs, live music, and entertainment for all ages. From the main stage’s house anthems to old skool and soul sessions, Musik in the Park will bring a variety of genres to the city while maintaining the festival’s signature friendly and inclusive environment. 

With improvements to festival facilities, including additional covered arenas, this year’s festival is shaping up to be a great event for all involved.

Day One: Saturday 3 May – Over 18s Only

Saturday’s event will focus on electronic music, showcasing some of the most respected names in house, techno and old skool. Three covered stages will ensure the party continues regardless of the weather.

Main Stage – House & Tech House (Big Top Arena)

The main arena will be hosted in a large, big-top tent. It will feature performances from internationally recognised DJs, including:

  • Bushwacka! – Veteran DJ with a career spanning nearly four decades.
  • Sammy Porter – Founder of the ‘Lovejuice’ brand and a key figure in the current house music scene.
  • GW Harrison – Known for his work with Abode and performances on major global stages.
  • Loeca – A rising star currently performing for the Defected brand worldwide.
  • Cash OnlySiggySam DungateHarry BowenBeaveDan B & The Greek – All respected DJs with international or regional followings and strong links to the Ibiza scene and UK underground events.

Arena 2 – Old Skool, Jungle & Club Classics (Hosted by Slipback In Time)

This arena will celebrate dance music history with sets from:

  • Fabio & Grooverider – Pioneers of drum & bass and jungle.
  • Slipmatt – “The Godfather of Rave.”
  • Alex P – Ibiza legend and veteran of UK house.
  • GozzyPhaze OneDecibelBoy-D – DJs with strong reputations on the old skool circuit.
  • MC Chalkie White and MC Mad P – Highly regarded hosts and performers with longstanding careers in rave culture.

Arena 3 – Tech House (The Nu Skool)

A platform for emerging and established talent in underground house and tech sounds. The lineup includes:

  • EvieSaffron StoneGriffLucy CraneAnna ChattMagdiCal Venner & Ollie ArmstrongJoe Friend, and Nudzy – Artists appearing at high-profile venues and festivals, including Hi Ibiza, Amnesia, Warehouse Project, and Forbidden Forest.

Day Two: Sunday 4 May – Family Festival Day

Sunday will welcome families to enjoy a more diverse musical offering, along with a full street food market, a fairground, bars, and family-friendly activities, including face painting, hair braiding, and festival-themed stalls.

Main Stage – Live Performances & Entertainment (Big Top Arena)

The headline performance is from Boyzlife, featuring Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden, performing the greatest hits of Boyzone and Westlife. 

Additional acts include:

  • Sweet Female Attitude – Performing their chart-topping hit “Flowers.”
  • Oasiz – A leading tribute to Oasis.
  • Leanne LouiseTommy K (age 11)Sam DungateDarryl Wright, and MC Chalkie White – Offering a great mix throughout the day.

Arena 2 – House Music Stage

Focused on soulful and funky house music, this stage features:

  • Bobby & Steve – Founders of Groove Odyssey and Garage City.
  • Max & Aston – Father and son DJ duo with residencies at Centreforce and SunceBeat.
  • Danny DecibelMiss RayGozzyFloyd, and Mark Nevern – Seasoned performers across London and Ibiza’s house scenes.

Arena 3 – Soul Sunday

A celebration of soul, jazz-funk and boogie. The lineup includes:

Accessibility and Facilities

The festival will take place within easy walking distance of Colchester city centre (The Recreation Ground on Old Heath Rd, Colchester CO1 2ER) with onsite parking. Food and drink vendors will offer a diverse selection, ranging from drinks and snacks to international street food. Festival-style retailers will add to the atmosphere across both days.
